About the John Gambs EMBL
FACTS ABOUT THE JOHN GAMBS EAST METRO BASEBALL LEAGUE (EMBL)
- The EMBL was founded in 2003 by the late John Gambs to provide adult baseball on the east side of Atlanta for adults. We are a non-profit organization and we try our best to benefit the schools and the communities that support us. It's part of the national Men's Senior Baseball League. We have two age divisions: 18+ & 30+.
-
Most of our games are played on week nights (Mon-Thu), at the American Legion Field in Conyers. Games start at 7:30 PM.
-
We welcome new teams! To enter your team or join an existing team as a free agent, reach out to our commissioner (Willie Rogers) at (770) 896-6928.
How fast are the pitchers? In the 30+division, most throw in the 70's or slower; in the 18+ in the 80's.
Bats? Wood bats only in the 30+ division; BBCOR or wood in the 18+ division. No metal bats (BESR) allowed.
This is not a "win-at-all-costs" league. The joy of playing baseball and the comraderie is what it's all about!
